Hazrat Maulana Sahban Mehmood Sahab R.A

Hazrat Maulana Sahban Mehmood Sahab RA was one of the most distinguished scholars and teachers of his time. He served as the Senior Shaykh-ul-Hadith at Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi and was a disciple of Hazrat Dr. Abdul Hai Arfi RA, a Khalifa of Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi RA. He was also the teacher of Mufti Taqi Usmani and numerous other renowned scholars. Known for his passionate Jumuah khutbas that attracted hundreds and were listened to by thousands online, he had a unique style of deeply heartfelt duas, especially during the Khatm-e-Quran in Ramadan. He also founded Jamia Ashraf ul Uloom, a religious school that continues to serve the mission of Islamic education. He passed away in the year 2000.
