Hazrat Maulana Mehboob Elahi Sahab (Db)

Hazrat Maulana Mehboob Elahi Sahab Db has served as the Imam of Jamia Masjid Bait ul Mukarram, Karachi since 1986 — one of the most prominent mosques in Pakistan. He completed his formal Islamic education at Jamia Khair ul Madaris, Multan and Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi, and was blessed to study under and associate with luminaries including Hazrat Shaykh ul Hadith Maulana Zakariya Sahab RA, Hazrat Maulana Sahban Mehmood Sahab RA, and Hazrat Maulana Shah Hakeem Muhammad Akhtar Sahab RA, of whom he is a Khalifa. He is known for his clear voice, beautiful recitation of the Quran, and the depth of sincerity and love that characterises his bayans. His lectures have benefited seekers across Pakistan and internationally for decades. Among his most beloved contributions is his annual Ramadan Tafseer series — delivered after Taraweeh prayers at Jamia Masjid Bait ul Mukarram every year. These lectures are now available on our Ramadan Bayanat page and continue to be a source of guidance for Muslims preparing themselves spiritually during the holy month. His Zikr recordings are also widely listened to and have brought spiritual benefit to countless Muslims.
