Hazrat Mufti Mahmood Ashraf Usmani Sahab RA

Hazrat Maulana Mufti Mehmood Ashraf Usmani Sahab RA was a highly respected Islamic scholar, jurist, and author. He served as the head of the Darul Ifta at Darul Uloom Karachi and issued over a hundred thousand fatwas during his lifetime. Born in Lahore in 1951, he was the grandson of Mufti Muhammad Shafi Sahab RA and a nephew of Mufti Taqi Usmani. He completed Dars-e-Nizami at Jamia Ashrafia, pursued further studies at the University of Madinah, and later became a senior teacher of Sahih al-Bukhari at Darul Uloom Karachi. Mufti Mehmood Ashraf Usmani Sahab authored more than thirty-five books on Hadith, Fiqh, Tafsir, and Tasawwuf. He passed away in February 2022.
